Rock Werchter

Le Rock Werchter est l'un des plus importants festivals de musique du monde, de par les artistes qui le fréquentent chaque année. Il se déroule fin juin – début juillet à Werchter.

Le festival, tout d'abord Rock & Blues, a été créé en 1975 avec à l'affiche : Big Bill, Kandahar, Banzai, et The Bintangs.

Les éditions de 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007 et 2008 ont gagné le Arthur Award, trophée qui récompense le meilleur festival mondial. Depuis l'édition de 2003, Rock Werchter est devenu un festival de quatre jours et il accueille, d'après le site officiel, environ 250 000 festivaliers chaque année.

Le site accueille deux scènes : la Main stage, pour les têtes d'affiche, et la Pyramid Marquee (couverte) pour les groupes plus "modestes".
