Carl Cox, né le 29 juillet 1962 à Oldham au Royaume Uni, est un disc jockey et producteur de musique électronique anglais.

Il a commencé sa carrière au milieu des années 1980 en tant que DJ Hardcore, Breakbeat hardcore et Acid House.

Il doit sa notoriété au fait d'avoir travaillé sur trois platines au lieu des deux habituelles et scratch sur certains morceaux.

En 1994 Carl Cox fait un mix "Rave" à Mayday : The Raving Society qui sera diffusé par la télé allemande VIVA par satellite qui va faire de lui une star dans le monde. En 1995 Carl cox sort le célèbre mix F.A.C.T.1 mélangeant différents styles musicaux (techno, trance, D3).

Il a joué dans des célèbres clubs tels que Shelly's, Sterns Nightclub, Heaven, Angels et l' Hacienda, et est maintenant à la tête de 2 labels: Intec Records et 23rd Century Records.

Il possède également dj au célèbre club d'Ibiza, le Space.

Il est plus connu pour ses mix's et ses shows radio que pour sa production.
