Lanthanotus borneensis est une espèce de reptile qui se rencontre en Indonésie et en Malaisie. C'est la seule espèce du genre Lanthanotus lui même seul genre de la famille Lanthanotidae (genre et famille monotypique).
Le nom de l'espèce (borneensis) signifie de Borneo, lieu où fût décrit cette espèce en premier.
