Discuter:Toscane de Pinocchio

Un article de Wikipédia, l'encyclopédie libre.

Dear friends,

first of all, I am sorry to use English, but my French is quite poor to be used in writing...
Well, I would like to add few points to this article, which is anyway pretty good:

1) "Vallis Nebulae" means "fog valley" or "cloud valley" but the real origin is river Nievole which is located on the western part of Valdinievole. So the humidity of the lands is historically bound to the border area with "Padule di Fucecchio" (a lake or "slough", dried at the end of the 18th c.) while, since the Middle age, the population lived on the hills (villages: Buggiano, Montecatini, Monsummano, Montevettolini, Uzzano and others). The name "Valdinievole" (val di Nievole) is rather an administrative toponimy than a natural definition, and was intensively used by the Florentine officers, since 1331-1339 when they conquered the area wich was Lucchese.

2) The Villa Garzoni is to be open again, but I´m not sure. The Garden was open in Summer 2005, as concerts were organized inside.

My best regards, Luber
