| Description |
Side a of rongorongo Tablet D, or Échancrée. 30 centimeters long and 15 centimeters wide. It has seven lines of signs on the front and six lines on the back. According to Chauvet, is not made of toromiro wood but of Podocarpus latifolius (which is not found on Easter Island) or P. ferruginea (?). This was the tablet used as a spool for the gift of hair given to Jaussen. |
