This picture shows three of the most important deities of ancient Egyptian religion and modern Kemetism: Isis, Osiris and their son, Horus, born in order to defeat Evil and Chaos. The union of Isis and Osiris is mystical: the goddess gives, the spirit of life to the god, dead, killed by the Evil; the force of their union gives birth to Horus, the light in the dark of the world. This trinity has a great spiritual significance because it illustrates the mystery of the regeneration of life, the defeat of the death and the rebirth in another existence after the physical life. |
