Eric Nylund (1964 - ), est un romancier et un écrivain technique américain.

Il a grandi en Californie, É-U. Il optint un baccalauréat en chimie et une maîtrise en physique chimique. Actuellement, il écrit pour Microsoft. Il habite à North Bend, Seattle, WA où il est marié à l'auteure de science-fiction Syne Mitchell.

Récemment, il a travaillé sur le roman « Gears of War », basé sur le jeu de Xbox 360 Gears of War. Eric Nylund vient de terminer son quatrième livre de HALO, Fantôme d'Onyx (Ghost of Onyx). Ce livre est sorti le 31 octobre 2006 aux États-Unis.
