The Inspiration est le deuxième album en major du rappeur Young Jeezy chez Def Jam. L'album est sortie dans les bacs le 12 décembre 2006 après la sortie du premier single "I Luv It". Young Jeezy a laché son deuxième single «Bury Me A G» à travers la mixtape I Am The Dream Street. «J.E.E.Z.Y.» est le troisième single, et il est apparu sur le clip de «Bury Me A G». Le 4ème single est sorti, "Go Getta" avec R. Kelly. À compter du 11 juillet 2007, l'album s'est vendu à 1103863 exemplaires aux Etats-Unis Young Jeezy enregistré 120 chansons pour l'album et a choisi ceux qu'il considérait comme les 16 meilleurs titres.
