Tatsumi Fujinami 藤波辰巳 est un catcheur japonais né le 25 décembre 1953 à Ōita. Il est l'inventeur de 2 prises: le Dragon Sleeper et le Dragon Suplex. Il est surnommé "The Dragon".

Fujinami commençait à Japanese Wrestling Association sous l'aile d'Antonio Inoki. Quand Inoki fut viré de la JWA en 1971, Fujinami et quelques autres personnes le suivaient pour former une nouvelle fédération, la New Japan Pro Wrestling. Inoki, Fujinami, Osamu Kido et Kotetsu Yamamoto furent reconnus comme les fondateurs du NJPW.

Il débutait en tant que débutant comme Mr.Pogo, Yoshiaki Fujiwara et Gran Hamada. Fujinami, Fujiwara, Hamada et trois autres débutants ont participé le 1974 Karl Gotch Cup (un tournoi pour les débutants).

Vers la fin des années 70, Fujinami est envoyé à l'étranger, vers la Mexico's Universal Wrestling et à Jim Crockett Promotions aux États-Unis. Il est aussi allé à la WWWF, où il gagna le WWWF Junior Heavyweight Championship et l'apporta au Japon comme son premier titre de junior heavyweight dans son pays natal.

Son "plus grand souvenir" d'un match aux États-Unis était quand il défendait son NWA World Heavyweight Championship contre Ric Flair dans un title vs. title re-match dans le premier WCW SuperBrawl en Floride après un match controversé. Flair conserva son WCW Championship puis regagne le titre de Fujinami en trichant.
