The Armenian people was bitterly disappointed when the hope for liberation that had flared up after the February Revolution was destroyed by miserable betrayal by the Dashnaks and Mensheviks.

And finally the five-pointed star of liberty has raised over Armenia!

The people has taken the power in its own hands.

Das Volk lebte nur von Hoffnungen, es bewahrte und bereicherte seine Kultur, seine Schätze sammelten sich an unter der Asche der Brände, von Mund zu Mund wurde die Epik weitergegeben, eine kraftvolle und tragische Lyrik enstand, die Architektur – streng und großartig – bewahrte ihren Stil, wie er einem nirgends sonst begegnet.

Fürchterliche Enttäuschung schlug das armenische Volk, als die gerade erst aufgeblitzte Hoffnung auf Befreiung nach der Februarrevolution durch den elenden Verrat der Daschnaken und Menschewiken zerschlagen wurde.

Nun endlich ist der fünfzackige Stern der Freiheit aufgegangen über Armenien!

Das Volk hat die Macht in seine Hände genommen.'
