Black hole in front of milky way star background. The heavily distorted background stars correspond to the milky way as seen from Earth. The shrunk set of 5 stars on the right is in fact the famous "W" asterism of Cassiopeia. The small set of stars in the lower left corner is the Pleiades cluster. The brightest star on the left is Capella. Near the black hole, on the right, the brightest star is the secondary image of Sirius, above which one barely recognizes Orion (the three aligned stars are Orion's belt). The bright spot on the left of the black hole (very close to it) correspond of the galactic center, which is almost behind the observer, and whose light was deflected by almost 180 degrees when passing in front of the black hole.
