Quelle est la source de l'assertion :

D'après certains, le Sixième Âge se serait terminé en 1945, soit à la chute du Troisième Reich qui aurait pu inspirer un parallèle avec la chute de Barad-dûr au Troisième Âge, ce qui nous placerait à l'heure actuelle, c’est-à-dire en 2006, en l'an 62 du Septième Âge.

Pour moi, les seules données disponibles sur les Âges suivants proviennent de L211 :

I imagine the gap to be about 6000 years : that is we are now at the end of the Fifth Age, if the Ages were of about the same length as S.A. and T.A. But they have, I think, quickened; and I imagine we are actually at the end of the Sixth Age, or in the Seventh.

Cette hypothèse apparait aussi dans l'article sur le Quatrième Âge de l'Encyclopedia of Arda. Mais ça n'est étayé par aucun texte de Tolkien qui me soit connu. Meneldur 11 juin 2006 à 17:21 (CEST)
