Morning Sedition est une émission radiophonique de trois heures. Elle a vu le jour le 1er avril 2004 aux États-Unis. Elle est animée par le comédien, Marc Maron, et le vétéran de la radio, Mark Riley, qui alternent interviews en direct, interventions téléphoniques d'auditeurs et commentaires de tendance libérale. Le nom de l'émission est une parodie de la Morning Edition, émission célèbre de la National Public Radio.
Elle est diffusée de 6h à 9h du matin (à l'heure de la Côte Est) du lundi au vendredi, et le Best of de la semaine est retransmis sur Air America Radio le samedi matin de 6h à 10h. L'émission est également accessible via Internet directement par Windows Media Player ou par RealPlayer. Morning Sedition est aussi disponible par fichiers balados en format MP3 avec iTunes et iPod.
C'est aussi tous les jours des sketchs humoristiques des auteurs du Daily Show, comme par exemple :
- "Recovery Corner" (le choix de la guérison), qui est une colonne de "conseil" pour le "recovering alcoholic George W. Bush." (George W. Bush l'alcoolique en voie de guérison).

- "Radio Halliburton" in which a right-wing caller calls in (actually a Morning Sedition staffer) and then we hear the sound of a radio dial scanning for a station. The show suddenly becomes "Right and Early" and Maron affects a gravelly, loud voice as Marc "The Shark" Maron and then parodies conservative radio. More recently, Marc actually "transforms" into "The Shark" on air in a manner reminiscent of Jekyll and Hyde after the call.
- "Planet Bush correspondent Lawton Smalls." Occasionally Marc will call 'Lawton Smalls' - the 'Planet Bush Correspondent.' (played by Kent Jones) Typically Mark Maron introduces premises to Lawton, and then Lawton responds with an extreme right-wing Christian response. Lawton will then break down into tears after several premises, and he appears to accept what Marc Maron has said. However, after a bout of strong coughing, Lawton will return to his original explanations.
- "Morning Sedition Radio Theater", Marc Maron battles the forces of evil in the latest action-adventure radio play the show is holding. Past performances include "Marc Maron and the Shadow Government" and "Marc Maron and the Temple of Doom".
- "The Liberal Agenda", a parody of liberal marching orders from "The Streisand Compound."
- "Morning Edition Cliff Notes", a wry recap of the news and guest interviews from earlier in the show.
- "Rapture Watch", where 'Milf Cardinal Milfington' (staff writer Jim Earl), with florid pseudo-religious gobbledygoop, cites actual events that portend the End of Days.
- "Weekly Rememberance", where 'Mort Mortenson' (staff writer Jim Earl) tearfully (although he claims he has allergies, and is NOT crying) presents wry obituaries for the recently deceased.
Morning Sedition also reviews the news of the day, with a liberal bent.
The show's last live performance will be on Thursday, November 3.
