Mille Jackson,est née le 15 juillet 1944 à Thomson en Géorgie est une chanteuse américaine dans les registres de la Soul music, Rythm'n'blues, disco, funk, rap

. Elle se distingue notamment par des textes humoristiques et très osés. Une chanteuse auteur à la voix ultra-puissante à redecouvrir de toute urgence.

Sa carrière à commencé en 1969 avec le titre " A little bit of something " sur MGM. Elle decollera vraiment avec sa signature chez Spring Records en 1971, et sa collaboration avec le génial producteur Brad Shapiro. Ensemble il vont créer durant dix années des concepts-albums géniaux.
