Description

Medusa by Caravaggio, rotella (tournament shield). Oil on canvas mounted on wood, dated from 1592 to 1600. Diam. 55 cm (21 ½ in.). Galleria degli Uffizi (at least since 1631), Inv. no. 1351. Restored in 1631.
