Flag of the Republic of Madawaska. Possibly originated as the "Flag of sedition" raised by John Baker in 1827, at the outset of the Aroostook War.

According to the Wikipedia en article, this is not even an original flag. It was created in the 20th century presumably for tourism. Copyright is likely held by the authority who commissioned it. --Kingboyk 12:41, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

The flag is historically accurate, per refs you removed from the en Wikipedia article and description thereing. The currently-use version in Edmundston was comissioned in 1938, and is used for tourism-related reasons. The flags on FOTW, as cited above, are created by members of that organisation, are not copied, and are allowed to be used per the FOTW website (see links above). Esseh 00:05, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
