Lucien Revolucien

Lucien M'B, alias Papalu, également connu sous les noms de Lucien ou Révolucien est une figure furtive et un pionnier du hip hop en france. Il a grandi en banlieue-sud de Paris (94) et part à New York en 1988 après plusieurs séjours à Londres. Il participe avec de nombreux artistes américains et sous l'égide d'Afrika Bambaataa, pour la libération de Nelson Mandela, à "Hip-Hop Against Apartheid". Compositeur et collaborateur pour de nombreux artistes en France comme aux États-Unis. il est membre des "Native Tongues": (Jungle Brothers, A Tribe Called Quest (A.T.C.Q.), De La Soul, Queen Latifah, Black Sheep) et proche compagnon de Beatnuts. Les A.T.C.Q. lui consacrent d'ailleurs un titre désormais mythique: "Luck Of Lucien" sur leur premier LP: People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm. Le rappeur Common lui consacre lui aussi plusieurs années après un titre: "Heaven somewhere" (featuring Mary j.blige,Erykah badu, Jill scott, Cee-lo, Bilal, Omar) sur l'album "Electric Circus".
