hello yesterday i went to see LORD OF THE DANSE at the PALIS DE CONGRES in PARIS.the advertising was so lovely i couldn't to go and booked 2 months in advance. I have to admit that i was shocked to see how a traditional irish music and danse show had become a playback. there was no orchestra and the music and songs were on playback even the fiddlers were not on LIVE.the dancers could really danse but when placed in a phony context it was all so false. then of course we saw the Irish kind of "CRAZY HORSE" where the dancers threw off their dresses to a wiggling bottoms show in black knickers,bra and tights.i thought i was halucinating. it was a very regrettable scene. i'm not a great specialist of irish music and tradition but i love my origins too much to see what a commercial entreprise is cabable of doing for the mighty euro. kate harvey
