Kyra Sedgwick est une actrice et productrice américaine né le 19 août 1965 à New York, New York (États-Unis).

Elle tient le rôle du chef adjoint Brenda Leigh Johnson dans la série américaine, The Closer

Elle est marié depuis près de vingt ans à l'acteur Kevin Bacon qu'elle a rencontré en 1988 sur le tournage du téléfilm Lemon Sky en 1988. Elle a deux enfants, Travis et Sosie. Elle est la tante du chanteur Justin Nozuka et aussi George Nozuka , la mére de Justin et George est la soeur de Kyra. Elle mène sa vie, partagée, entre Manhattan et Los Angeles. Elle est une grande amatrice de chocolats.
