Hello, I just came across your wonderful photo of a kayagum (gayageum) player.

www.flickr.com/photos/dalcrose/464193655/

I'm one of the thousands of volunteer editors at the English-language Wikipedia and write articles about various Asian musical instruments. We have an article about the gayageum, but we don't currently have a photo of someone playing it. I wonder if you might give your permission for your photo to be uploaded to that article, so we can show someone playing it.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gayageum

As per Wikipedia's policies, it would need to be released under a "free" license such as the Creative Commons, meaning that the photo could be reused by anyone for any reason (including educational, commercial, or any other use), although it would be specified that credit is given to you and a link made to your Flickr page.

Please let me know if you'd be amenable to this, and all the best!

I'm pleased to hear from you. My friend, Eun-Kyung said it's ok. She is curious about your plan- how to use the photo for Wikipedia Gayageum article. I will change the Creative Commons license of the photo, 'CC-by-nc-sa' to 'CC-by(Attribution alone)'. Then, you are free to crop, resize, and edit it.

Also, I'm pleased to have made contact with you, too. I think the most of Wikipedian in Korea isn't good English. They, therefore, concentrate on contribution for Korean-language Wikipedia instead of the English one. There are few Korean contributor who have language skill to edit English article freely.

Likewise, I'm contributor of both language, English and Korean, Wikipedia. I wrote whole article in Korean but in English, I can minor update only. I'll make an effort to contribute to English-language Wikipedia.

Thank you again and when you finish to edit the article, please let me know.
