Description

Epinephrine binds its receptor, that associates with an heterotrimeric G protein. The G protein associates with adenylate cyclase that converts ATP to cAMP. This initiates a chain of chemical reactions to ultimately signal a cellular response. Four PDB structures were used in this picture: 1f88 (links to Rhodopsin!?), 1got, 1cul, and 1tbg, from left to right. (more details...)
