"La délivrance de Bonivard" (1898) Paint by Franck-Edouard Lossier (1852-1925)

Scanned by Dake from a 1928 document about the history of Geneva. Bonivard was the prisonner who inspired Lord Byron for his poem "The Prisonner of Chillon". Bonivard was imprisoned in Chillon Castle near Montreux between 1530 and 1536.
