As he died in 1873, the 1901 printing was clearly a reprinting of an engraving already decades old. Copyright expired. -- Infrogmation 18:25, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

This applies to the United States, Canada, the European Union and those countries with a copyright term of life of the author plus 70 years.
