Christian Sinding

Christian August Sinding est un compositeur norvégien, né le 11 janvier 1856 à Kongsberg (près d'Oslo) et mort le 3 décembre 1941 à Oslo.

[modifier] Biographie
Il étudie le violon à Oslo puis poursuit ses études en Allemagne au Conservatoire de Leipzig avec Salomon Jadassohn et Carl Reinecke pour la composition. Il rencontre notamment le jeune Ferruccio Busoni. Entre 1920 et 1921, il se rend aux États-Unis afin d'y enseigner la composition à la "Eastman School of Music" de Rochester (New York).
