La bataille de Marston Moor a eu lieu le 2 juillet 1644. C'est la plus grande bataille de la Première révolution anglaise. C'est aussi une des plus décisives. La victoire est revenue aux Parliamentarians, ce qui veut dire que le nord de l'Angleterre est ainsi tombé sous le contrôle du Parlement.
