Description

Aniche (cartulaire de Charles de croÿ); Album de Croÿ, gouache peinte sur parchemin par Adrien de Montigny pour Charles de Croÿ Le chemin creux du 1er plan serait celui venant de Bouchain et conduisant à Auberchicourt et Douai. Noter que l'artiste a figuré sur le toit de l'église les crochets qui y retiennent la neige et/ou permettent d'y accrocher des échelles pour l'entretien des ardoises. 2 tourelles sont visibles sur le côté de l'église, garnies de flèches couvertes d'ardoises. La nef semble être faite de 4 travées sans collatéraux; Le choeur plus plus étroit et bas est inhabituellement allongé (au moins trois travées). L'église a été reconstruite de 1857 à 1859 et le clocher refait en 1872.
