    View from the top of Aavasaksa hill in Finnish Lapland, facing North. This view is the best know sight from Aavasaksa, especially during midsummer when the midnight sun is passing close to the hilly horizon. On the foreground are the bend of the Tengeliö river and the small village of Aittamaa, while the huge Tornio river is crossing a group of medium sized hills further north.

    Vue vers le nord depuis le sommet de la colline d'Aavasaksa en Laponie finlandaise. C'est la vue la plus connue d'Aavasaksa, notamment car c'est dans ce paysage qu'est observé le soleil de minuit chaque année autour de la Saint-Jean. Au premier plan, le hameau d'Aittamaa borde le méandre de la rivière de Tengeliö, et plus loin versle nord la très large Torne traverse un groupe de collines peu élevées.
