Tom Araya (Tomás Enrique Araya), né le 6 juin 1961 est le chanteur et bassiste du groupe de thrash metal Slayer. Il est d'origine chilienne. Dans Metal: A Headbanger's Journey il affirme qu'il est catholique.

- Tout comme son complice Kerry, Tom araya possède des basses « B.C. Rich ».
- Plus récemment, on l'a vu évoluer avec des basses "Ltd"/
- Actuellement endorsé par ESP, il a participé également à l'élaboration de son modèle signature. (inspiré des basses Ltd sur lequelles il jouait, pentacles comme repères en plus et montés avec des micros EMG)
