Sgt. Rhoda D. Riley of Company G, 4th Battalion, 25th Field Artillery Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y., became the first female to graduate from U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit's Squad Designated Marksman Instructor Course Feb. 11 at Fort Benning, Georgia. Riley says she will go back to her unit and pass along her training to her fellow Soldiers. Her unit is preparing to deploy to either Afghanistan or Iraq. (Note that Sgt. Riley's weapon has no rear sights or magazine.)
