Bon, my friend. You don't have the right to play games with my photos. Restore them or start deleting all the others. And, follow my work and you will see I am very careful with photos. Plus, please be aware that United States copyright law allows for the use of passages where all that is said is facts in a format found in many places on the web or in print. Example. The Red Sox beat the Cardinals 4-2 to take the lead in the World Series. Gaston Poison hit a home run. The series resumes Tueday in Boston. --- This has no copyright.
This too is bullshit. A mistake was made. If not, on the basis of deleting my photos and en accord avec ls règles du wikipedia you must delete all others for the same reason. I repeat, if you want hard working contributors to leave, then keep screwing them around. Now, your choice. Restore my photos now or delete the others. If not, I shall leave Wiki FR permanently. I don't need to be here so you or anyone else can treat me (or others) unfairly when in FACT, I have contributed FAR, FAR MORE than anyone else to Wiki FR since coming here. Bonsoir, and thank you. JacquesD 15 sep 2003 à 01:35 (CEST)
The status of all photos will be discuted and reviewed. Those which will need to be deleted will be so. If it is decided that the 3 photos are OK, I will restore them with pleasure. -- Looxix 15 sep 2003 à 01:41 (CEST)

Ok. I could not find any info on fair use on wikipedia. So I am heading for the ML then. So we can see more clearly.

JacquesD, meanwhile, you can list the pict on Wikipédia:Pages à restaurer. If you have any doubts on other people pictures; I suggest that you also list them somewhere, so we have matter to discuss. Anthere

Study fair use later. Right now it is about my photos being treated EXACTLY the same as yours and others. It is cut and dry. Fix your error, you discriminated against me. I'm tired of this game. I'll have a coffee then if they aren't restored (or the similar offenders deleted) then I will leave Wiki FR all to you and those other wise people who like to discriminate. I do not like arguing. Life is too short. JacquesD 15 sep 2003 à 01:50 (CEST)
Appeal to force is not something that works very well on me :-) Anthere 15 sep 2003 à 01:55 (CEST)
It is not force, it is getting people to behave with dignity. Why should other photos remain while a discussion takes place? That is discrimination and Looxix is playing games. Restore mine so we are all treated equal then, if it is decided they ALL are invalid -- zap every one of them including mine. That is called democratic equality. I strongly resent discrimination when the matter can easily be resolved fairly. JacquesD 15 sep 2003 à 02:00 (CEST)
Hum. Looxix is not playing games. First because he likely got to bed now, and I am gonna do the same in a couple of minutes.
Second, I will give you a sort of comparison. When there is an edit war, the page is protected, right ? Now, it is necessary protected in a state or the other. To the dispair of the one whose version is not kept. Now, it does not matter really, if someone is watching what is happening and take care that things are done in a fair way. I.e., after agreement, both editors rights and points of views are respected. I promise to do so.
But I am lazy. To "restore" the picture, I have to go over the en wiki, copy them from DW version, then upload them here. A loss of time if the pict remain deleted in the end.
Note : anyone can do that, you as well as I.
Here's what I suggest. I will add all your "questionable" images (the " meaning that some people find them questionable) on the Wikipédia:Images sujettes à caution page. I suggest that you do *precisely* the same thing with the images that you consider are fair use. In the end, either some of these images are deleted, or perhaps we can indicate they are fair use. Three won't make a big difference. Let's start that way, and tomorrow is another day (well, it is already tomorrow for me).
Is that fair ? Anthere

No, it is not fair. The issue is not "fair use". If whoever wishes to discuss it then can do so and I will abide by whatever is decided. The issue now is that Looxix decided HIS photos are okay but mine are not. I repeat why is it okay to have Arnold Swartenegger but not Sophie Marceau? A movie star pic is a movie star pic. That is all. JacquesD 15 sep 2003 à 02:38 (CEST)

Hum.I see three points.

  • the fair use. This will be solved over the next days. One way or another
  • the deletion. You may not really complain about this, as they were listed on votes for deletion, and you have not said anything to oppose their deletion.
  • Loo opinion that his picts are right, while yours are not. Fair point. Well, you can't expect anyone to be perfect, do you ? I let you explain what should be the perfect course of action for that point. As for me, I go to bed. There is no hurry :-)

Sweet dreams to both of you.Anthere
