L'Adoration des Mages

L'étoile des Mages s'est arrêtée au-dessus de l'étable où se tient la Sainte Famille à Bethléem. Un roi, représenté sous les traits de Charles VII, à genoux sur un tapis fleurdelisé, offre de l'or à l'Enfant que lui présente Marie. Les deux autres Mages s'approchent, escortés par la garde royale. À gauche, dans le lointain, trois hérauts sonnent l'issue d'un combat. Une étoile aux rayons dirigés vers Charles VII éclaire la bataille, allusion possible à la victoire de Castillon (1453) sur les Anglais.
