It was no polish state 1815 till 1918, so was in the year 1865 Katowitze (Kattowitz) a town in the state of Prussia. Mr. "24.37.0.236" can read it on the official web site of the city: Historia if he is able to understand Polish - for example: "Pod panowaniem pruskim (od 1742 r.) na terenie dzisiejszych Katowic, szczególnie w XIX stuleciu rozwijał się przemysł, zwłaszcza huty i kopalnie. U schyłku tegoż wieku powstało kilka instytucji, które zadecydowały o rozwoju młodego ośrodka gospodarczego - Górnośląska Konwencja Węglowa, Związek Przemysłowców Górniczo-Hutniczych, gwarectwa węglowe, Państwowa Dyrekcja Poczt, Sąd Okręgowy, Dyrekcja Prusko-Królewskich Kolei Państwowych."
