The Civil Air Patrol corporate seal is controlled via 36 U.S.C. Section 40306. The CAP seal may generally be used only on:
- CAP vehicles. (changed to MAJCOM shield 13 MAR 07)
- CAP-owned equipment.
- CAP publications and web pages. (changed to MAJCOM shield)
- Certain CAP invitations, greetings, and programs.
- CAP Stationery.
- Membership cards.
- Signs identifying CAP units.
- Certain CAP posters and other informational or recruiting materials.
- Civil Air Patrol business cards.
- Approval from NHQ CAP/XPP for any purpose must be obtained.
Use of the seal in advertisements is prohibited.
