Dear Mr. Leonard

Thank you so much for your rapid reply to my inquiry.

The purpose of my interest in your photos is simple. I am a regular volunteer contributor to Wikipedia, which is an open, multilingual encyclopedia at www.wikipedia.org that anyone can edit. I am always on the lookout for photos to illustrate articles which are legal to use for non-commercial purposes. Obviously, since many pictures available on the net are not appropriate for this, it is sometimes hard to find images.

There are several photos on your website which may be of interest to me; however, the main ones which I am interested in at the moment and for which I contacted you are the photos of Mr. Bob Rae at http://www.irpp.org/events/archive/photos/0502-155.jpg and http://www.irpp.org/about/images/board/raeh.jpg . I recently translated the english Wikipedia article about Mr. Rae into french for the french-language wikipedia, and unfortunately I have no convenient picture of him to use. These photos of him on your website would be perfect. The articles in question which I wish to use the photo in are to be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Rae and http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Rae.

There are other images on your site which may interest me also in the future, for similar purposes on Wikipedia, but I shall inquire about each of them when the time comes, unless of course you inform me that Wikipedia is not an appropriate use for these photos.

Thank you for your time. Sincerely,

David Di Giacomo

Hello

I would like to inquire about the copyright status of images in the photo archives on your website. Are they available to be freely used for noncommercial purposes, for example on a website like www.wikipedia.org?

Thank you
