[modifier] La ville de Bilaspur
La tradition crédite une femme pêcheur nommée Bilasa pour la fondation de la ville au VIIe siècle. La ville comportait 10 609 h. au recensement de 1991. Elle se trouve sur les rives du Govind Sagar, un lac artificiel au nord-ouest de Simla.

L'état de Kahlur a occupé le territoire du futur état de Bilaspur. Kahn Chand, le onzième descendant de Bir Chand, conquiert Hindur et en fait don a son second fils, Sujit Chand, qui initie la dynastie régnante de Nalagarh. La principauté a intégré l'état de l'Himachal Pradesh.
