Anthony Edwin Phillips, surnommé Ant, est un musicien anglais né en 1951 à Londres. Il est issu d'un milieu aisé et fut l'un des membres fondateurs de Genesis en 1966.

Compositeur à la fois subtil et raffiné, il participe au premier opus du groupe, le mésestimé From Genesis to Revelation, un très agréable album pop, puis part peu de temps après la fin de l'enregistrement du très différent Trespass en 1970, pour des raisons personnelles.

Il poursuit depuis une carrière solo prolifique et de grande qualité. Son premier album, The Geese and the Ghost, reste une de ses pièces maîtresses.

Il travaille actuellement sur des musiques de documentaires.
