Richard Rodgers est un compositeur, scénariste et producteur américain né le 28 juin 1902 à New York, New York (États-Unis), décédé le 30 décembre 1979 à New York (États-Unis).

Selon le magazine américain Forbes qui publie un palmarès des fortunes les plus opulentes de la planète, dans leur "top 10" Richard Rodgers était bon dixième en 2004. Comme redevances, ses héritiers ont reçu 7 millions de dollars canadien ou 4,5 millions d'Euros.[réf. nécessaire]
